City dwellers everywhere are missing out on the latest trend…
The Chicken Coop.
Yes, dwellings worthy of a five star hotel rating are being built in backyards across America to house country living’s latest must-have pet, the chicken.

There was a time when my own backyard was filled with chickens. I will admit it was nice to have the fresh eggs in the morning. It gave us a sense of living “off the land” and the kids enjoyed the ritual of gathering them up and proudly bringing them into the kitchen.
But our chickens lived a very simple (maybe deprived?) life compared to the chickens of today!
Chicken coops have evolved into mini dwellings that have all the comforts of home.
Raccoons are always a threat so some are built on higher ground for protection.
Or for more security, a fenced in yard.
These lucky chickens have the McMansion of coops complete with cupola.
If you are into Hobbits this one is for you..
Or secret and secluded.
Chickens are living in style.
So I got to thinking…what if I were to build a chicken coop behind The Money Pit?
How fun would it be to have these cute furry creatures roaming around and announcing the break of dawn every day to my unsuspecting neighbors!
The Housing Police would have a field day!!!
But my coop would be very special…
There would be chandeliers..
And of course, stone and wrought iron to match the house
I hear Guinea hens are even noisier. Maybe I would add a few of them also…
