I am on computer overload.
Every day this week has been all about setting up my new home decor site. I am learning HTML’s, shortcodes, browsers uploads, downloads and web pages ad nauseum. My new best friend is “Jackie S.” from the online HELP site. I need a break….
I need to write a blog. Something easy. Something fun.
I went on Pinterest and decided to make my version of Pantone’s 2015 color of the year, Marsala.
For those of you who aren’t familiar, The Pantone Company has been a leading force in everything COLOR for a very long time. Way back in the 70’s as a student at FIT, the Pantone color charts were essential to everyone for use as a reference guide for all of our projects. Think of Pantone as the Alan Greenspan of the design world.
Alan predicts the economy and Pantone predicts color trends. Maybe it is coincidence but the color of choice for Alan’s ties happen to be this year’s color;
When Pantone speaks, every one listens…..
Every industry imaginable that has to do with design jumps on the bandwagon.
I LOVE this Burberry scarf-
Sneakers and Boots.. (Mental note…new Hunters for the barn!)
Even food is following the trend!
Who wouldn’t want this to make their morning coffee?
Even Mother Nature has figured out how to follow the trends..
This is living art.
Why not paint your front door every year?
I could live with this.
One single color used in so many ways..
A color scheme for an intimate dinner party of thirty-
The easiest and most cost effective way to transform a room is with a simple coat of paint
Or just the tub..
Even just an area rug?
And don’t forget,
Valentine’s Day is coming up.
